Chinese herbal medicine

Chinese herbs play an integral part in the Chinese medical system. A herbal formula may be chosen to expel toxins or pathogens from the body, or strengthen the constitution against such attacks. A formula typically contains four to fifteen different herbs blended to obtain the greatest efficacy.

The herbs are prescribed in many forms, the most common being in pill or capsule form, or for more chronic conditions, in the form of soluble granules. These can be taken as a tea, and is most suitable for people with complex problems, as the prescription can be modified according to an individual’s signs and symptoms as they progress with their treatment.

Herbs can be taken even while taking other medication—however, you need to bring a list of what you are taking so that your herbal prescription is appropriate for you.

Diana does not use animal products in her herbal prescriptions.
