Why Use

Chinese Medicine

In Chinese medicine, each person is approached as an individual with their own set of signs and symptoms. While you may have the same condition as another person, how your body responds to having that condition is unique to you. This is especially important in skin diseases such as atopic eczema where the large variation in lesions requires specific herbs for effective treatment.

With Chinese herbal medicine, we use plant based herbs and minerals to correct imbalances and restore function to the body. At Kensho, we use potent botanical extracts in our prescriptions and skincare formulations to treat the irritating effects of skin diseases without the need for steroids or pharmaceuticals.

Common Questions Regarding Chinese Medicine

Am I A Candidate For Acupuncture

The medical literature shows acupuncture’s effect on nearly every biophysical system in the body. I’ve seen patients suffering from a wide variety of problems respond to acupuncture treatment when nothing else has worked.

So, for most people, yes, acupuncture is something you should explore.

How Many Acupuncture Treatments Will I Need?

The number of treatments needed differs from person to person. For complex or long-standing conditions, one or two treatments a week for several months may be recommended. For acute problems, usually fewer visits are required, and for health maintenance, we recommend monthly tune ups.

Does Acupuncture Hurt?

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. In eget bibendum libero. Etiam id velit at enim porttitor facilisis. Vivamus tincidunt lectus at risus pharetra ultrices. In tincidunt turpis at odio dapibus maximus.

Is Acupuncture Covered By Insurance?

Insurance companies only like to cover treatments that don’t actually fix the problem. So we’re out of network for all insurance. The good news is, that you are the one in charge of what procedures you get, not an insurance company. And acupuncture treatment is very affordable.
